Psychiatric Care Providers for Adults and Children
Brio Neurobehavioral Consultants
About Brio
We are an Electronic Based Practice
Welcome to Brio Neurobehavioral Consultants. We are an electronic based psychiatric practice providing mental health care to adults and children. Our goal is to provide patient centered care with a more casual yet professional environment.

What is an electronic based practice? All communication with our staff is solely conducted via electronic interaction. Unlike other offices, we do not have administrative staff waiting to greet you upon arrival, answering calls, processing refills, or preparing paperwork. All these items are handled by your care provider.

Why have we chosen this for our practice? Reducing overhead costs allows us to offer more individualized patient care. Our focus is not on productivity, it is focused on you. This allows us to take extra time when needed, and the ability to offer more customized scheduling options.
How do I interact with an electronic based practice? New patients will need to follow the instructions on the new patient tab. Once you are an established patient, you will be able to interact with us through the patient portal. It is important to note that your care provider may also offer additional contact options. These options can be found under your individual care providers tab.

Will I be able to talk with a care provider on the phone to ask questions, request refills, schedule or cancel appointments? No. There is not an office number to call only an emergency number. All non-emergency communication is handled through your patient portal. With an electronic based practice, it is importance to remember to plan ahead for refill requests and appointment changes or questions. Please also keep in mind that we do require 24-hour notice for cancellations.

What should I do in the event of an emergency? An emergency is a medical crisis that jeopardizes the health and safety of a patient. If a medical crisis takes place, you can call the emergency number at 330-321-3408, or go directly to your closest emergency facility. Remember an emergency is not needing a medication refill, scheduling an appointment, or canceling an appointment.

What do I do upon arrival at an electronic based practice? We welcome you to come in to the office and have a seat in the waiting area. Our care providers are notified when someone enters the office and we will be out to greet you as soon as we are available. Please note, many times we are finishing appointments, so our response may be a little delayed at times. We ask that you please just have a seat and we will be with you as soon as we are finished. This also applies to tele-health visits. Your care provider will log on as soon as they are available.

Does being an electronic based office affect the care you will receive? Absolutely not! It actually allows more interactive care with your care provider instead of administrative staff and the relaying of messages. As with any medical office, we want to remind you that it can take up to 3-days for refills or replies to messages. This is especially important to remember on weekends or holidays.

Unfortunately, there can be a downside to being an electronic based practice. We may experience interruptions in service, undelivered messages, upgrade interruptions, EMR site issues, mobile device restrictions/issues that require the use of a computer, and other issues everyone encounters with electronic technology. Please never hesitate to send another message or request if you do not receive a response in the allotted time frame. There may have been something that took place we had no control over.

Most importantly, your care providers at Brio want you to feel confident and comfortable with the care you receive for your mental health concerns. We strongly encourage you to share any concerns, ask questions, request clarification, and provide feedback.

We look forward to partnering with you to evaluate, treat, and manage your personal mental health care.
